You can find so many strange and wired things entering the Bottega Vasì®, from the essential tools that Vasì created and used in his spare time, as for example the various gadgets for the collection of mushrooms and asparagus, to the more complex instruments as a wood lathe, wholly made by him, using old parts taken from another machine no longer working and that probably today we would had throw away because it was broken. Everything in our workshop can have a second life, as a piece of wood, a waste of leather or of hide. What had been the raw material for something, returns as raw material for some other new inventions and to give life to some other new ideas! Thanks to the passion for doing things personally, the wits and the desire to try new things, sometimes even seemingly meaningless, I have seen my father creating extraordinary things in his laboratory. There was a time in which realizing the “Pinocchios” became a priority and everyday families of Pinocchios of all dimensions were born out of his hands and unfailingly given as a gift to nephews and relatives. The barrels, another object on which we could write a book. I think that my father adored to make them, apart from their typical use, because they made him a child again, when, as son of a carpenter, he helped my grandfather in the construction of the barrels and, at that times, these products allowed us to earn the bread to live. v

As for the shoes, well I think that was the date with the destiny, when you are a young man from Montegranaro in the postwar, when the economic recovery has just begun and you leave the country to go to "learn a trade" here in Montegranaro in those years, hardly you could not start making shoes! The work was not lacking and probably the talent was already evident in him; everything else is today’s history! The watches, on the contrary, were a surprise even for me, perhaps because I'd never seen him making one of them. One day, while I was rummaging in his things, I accidentally took one watch in my hand, I think the first prototype; it was clear that it was not finished yet, but it already had a well-defined shape. I never understood why he chose the watches, but thinking it over, I maybe have come to the right conclusion: the watch is the tool that keeps track of time, the only thing that you cannot either stop or buy. Time, one of the things to which my father has always given great importance in all the things he did. Each and every living thing has its own time; no matter what it is as long as it is always well-spent for doing something good, and that’s exactly what I have wanted to do, not to stop and not to waste what my father had done ... ...... ........... in Time.
